So summer is over. I hope everyone had an enjoyable labor day weekend. We had wonderful weather all weekend.

So I am thinking that this is a good omen as we begin the final quarter of 2009. The end of the year is always filled with lots of promise and anticipation.

The next 3 months will be filled with a lot of activities. Our first fun filled event, which is a big hit every year is the annual watching of the annual regatta video. 2009 is no exception. This year we have a few surprises...actually not really, I'm just trying to create some excitement. But do we need it? With 'steady hands Jim' behind the camera this year's video is sure to be filled with lots of insightful interviews...come see for yourself.

Intercity Event
Later this month we will have the:

Invites you, your club members family & friends to join us at our 6th Annual INTERCITY DINNER THIS YEAR IT IS ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!

Toucan Restaurant at the Quality Inn 1850 Easton Ave, Somerset, NJ 08873

The club will sponsor a limited number of tickets, first come first served. So if you have not signed up yet please do. Even better at this point you can simply send an email indicating that you will attend.

Tomorrow is the deadline for signing up as I have to provide the attendance log to the event planners.
So please make the effort and lets take a big contingent to this 1st district event of the year.
NOTE: One caveat since the club is paying if you sign up but then don't attend you will be billed you for the ticket ($45.00)

Membership Seminar
Please do not forget to make plans to attend the

Membership Seminar - Toucan Restaurant, Somerset NJ on the 30th of September (that's also this month). Membership is so important to our clubs. Please come and discuss strategies, brainstorm new ideas and share information with successful clubs. This is a very important event.

ADG Visit
This month we also have a visit from ADG Byron Miller on the 17th. Please make every effort to attend this meeting.
We will also have a board meeting on this day at which we will present our plan for the club to the district.
The regular meeting will be an extension of the board meeting and we can discuss further any issues, ideas the general
membership has with ADG Miller. Please come out in a show of force show everyone that Union Rotary is a force to reckon
with in District 7510.

New Member Orientation
