The Rotary Club of Union makes Cranes for Kids to help children of Japan

On Thursday, April 7, The Rotary Club of Union participated in the Make Cranes for Kids program sponsored by OshKosh. For every crane sent into the company, one garment of clothing will be donated to a child in Japan. With the help of the children at the Livingston Elementary school in Union who donated 400 cranes to our cause, we are proud to report that our club sent in over 414 origami birds. Thanks to the kids and a few talented Rotarians, 414 items of clothing will be sent to Japan to help those in need after the earthquakes. The Rotary Club of Union always welcomes new members to join us in fellowship and charity every Thursday at 12:15 at the Suburban Country Club in Union. Rotary is an organization of business and professional persons united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, support community service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will and peace in community.
