While celebrating its 70th anniversary last month, the Rotary Club of Union held its annual Past Presidents' dinner with 32 members in attendance. Host and Past President, Charlie Minton, was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening which included stories from each President from the year in which he or she served. Each ex-officer recounted a few highlights of his/her administration which often evoked a comment from the crowd. Laughter filled the room especially when Charlie surprised past presidents currently residing in other states with a phone call which he put on speakerphone for all to hear. The night was capped off with a reminder that one day everyone in the room would have the title "Past President" and would then understand why it is a Rotary experience all hold close to their hearts.
